Sugar & Ink was born from a shared vision between long-time friends, Jahida and Brooke. Their journey began at MAC Cosmetics around 2010, where they discovered a mutual passion for artistic beauty and the joy of helping others feel confident and empowered.

After years of working elsewhere, the two reconnected through their own crafts. During the pandemic, Brooke would visit Jahida for sugaring while managing her own separate suite for various beauty treatments. It was during these sessions that they realized they both wanted more. They made the bold decision to phase out services that no longer aligned with their long-term goals, choosing instead to narrow their focus. By eliminating the extras and homing in on their core specialties, they were able to achieve true mastery in their respective fields.

This refinement sparked a bigger idea: what if they combined their focused talents under one roof? They envisioned a high-end, supportive environment not just for themselves, but for other passionate local women with a similar drive and aesthetic. A place where artists and clients alike could flourish in a space that felt warm and elevated.

Following an intensive year of building their dreams into reality, Sugar & Ink opened on 6/1/22. Since then, the studio has flourished. Every regular face and every new artist who joins our team adds a unique chapter to this ongoing narrative.
